Teddy Bo Snowy Tuesday

It's time for a new Teddy Bo challenge and this time around my team are hosting the
Anything Goes challenge.

As well as a new Teddy Bo release, we also have a new release of the Snowies, and I've used one of them for my card this week.
I made a tent card with an acetate front, then added the image and some die cut Christmas trees. The Warm Wishes wording is a Whimsy die and I've attached it to the back of the card so that it shows through the acetate.

Winter Girl

I had a lovely time on Saturday at the Hobbycraft show at the NEC in Birmingham, I went along with a couple of friends and met up with Claire, one of my Teddy Bo design team buddies, (we met there last year for the first time), we had a good chat and did a little shopping. I didn't spend anywhere near as much as usual, because I was trying to be good and not buy any dies (my main weakness) and managed not to buy a single one, waahaaay.

I was worn out yesterday, talking and spending money really tires you out LOL! but it was lovely to catch up with Claire and have a look around at all the fabulous crafting goodies. I watched a couple of demonstrations of the new Ebosser, my hubby bought me one a couple of weeks ago and at the moment it is still in the box, so I am feeling inspired now to get it out and have a play.

I have another Paper Creator card to show you today, once again using pyramage, but this time the layers are cut in circles and I also made up the matching box.

Kit used - Winter Girl - Paper Creator
Organza and grosgrain ribbon - Meiflower

The snowman is cut and embossed and then whilst still in the die, I rubbed over the top with various coloured ink pads to accentuate the embossing.

Thanks for popping in,

Leah Angel

I thought I would share a couple of cards with you that I made last month as samples for Meiflower.

For the first one I coloured up a Whimsie Doodles image called Leah Angel, and then did the unthinkable and cut off her wings, I did give her a super shiny new set of wings though, so hopefully Santa hasn't put me on the naughty list LOL!

Digital stamp – Leah angel – www.whimsiedoodles.com coloured digitally.
Digital Papers – Holly Jolly – Lliella- www.sweetshoppedesigns.com
Sentiment – Computer generated
Martha Stewart border punch
Ribbons, brown gems and angel charm - Meiflower

On my second card I used three sets of Angel Wings as the main embellishment.

Digital Papers – Happy Holidays – www.sweetshoppedesigns.com
Wording computer generated
Ribbon, Angel charm and Angel wings – Meiflower

Both cards contain pretty little enamelled angel charms, with diamante wings, which Meiflower sell in various colours including red, white and blue as well as the pink.

Thanks for popping by today,

Pyramage

I love to add layers to my card image, and generally do it either by layering up another copy of the image usually with a small white border, or using my favourite method, which is decoupage. Not everyone, likes the intricate cutting that can be involved in this, (the ladies who come to my card class aren't too keen on decoupage), so pyramage is a much easier way of adding some depth to your card without all the fussy cutting, and that's exactly how the depth has been achieved on this particular card.

Kit used - Primitive Christmas Tree - Paper Creator
Kraft card blank and matching envelope
Spare Kraft card
Border - Nellie Snellen MFD023 Border 2
Ribbon and Charm - Meiflower

I printed out the matching envelope front, cut off the top flap and attached it to the Kraft envelope with double sided tape.

Will be back tomorrow with a couple more cards,
See you then

Teddy Bo Tuesday

Today is a very special day, not only is it Teddy Bo Tuesday with some fabulous new releases, but more importantly my gorgeous grandson Charlie is celebrating his first birthday today, where has that last year gone LOL!

Here is today's Teddy Bo card using one of this weeks new releases and if like me you remember the children's TV progrramme Rainbow with Bungle, George and Zippy, then you will recognise the wording I've used, the problem is that every time I see the card I start singing the theme tune, and then I can't stop, so I think you should all sing along with me LOL!, all together now........

Up above the streets and houses,
rainbow climbing high,
Everyone can see it climbing
through the sky
Paint the whole world with a Rainbow!

Image - TEDDYBEA_242 - which I coloured using Photoshop
Papers - Daydream - Scrapflower/MSA Collab
Ribbon, gems and create, wish and inspire charms - Meiflower

Pop over to the Teddy Bo challenge blog and  check out this weeks  fabulous creations from Team B. We are halfway through our present Anything goes challenge, so still plenty of time to get an entry in and be in with the chance of winning the Teddy Bo Fabulous five.

I thought I would pop on the birthday card I made for Charlie, he is Mickey Mouse mad, so the theme was easy, I would have liked to do something better, but have been ill for the last few days with a chest infection  that is just starting to clear up, so I haven't done any card making at all since last Wednesday. I managed to get his card made yesterday afternoon, but it was a bit of a rush.

Papers - Freebie found HERE There is another set of nice papers in the freebie section called Sweet Child of Mine, snag them too while you are there.

Chick's Night Out!

I thought I would show you a card I made for my friend Julie's birthday, we have been friends for forty years next year ( the teacher sat me next to her when I moved to a new school and told her to look after me and we have been friends ever since). She does enjoy a tipple, so I thought this image and sentiment would be perfect for her birthday card (we always swap humorous cards on our birthdays, although the ones Julie sends to me are usually a little rude LOL!) I'm much more refined and better behaved than her and wouldn't dream of sending her something rude, yeh, as if ! LOL!

Image and Martini sentiment - Martini Chicks - Designed to Delight
as usual I've coloured it in Photoshop
Papers - Doofles - Kristen-Cronin Barrow
Grosgrain Ribbon and Laugh charm - Meiflower

I made a little swizzle stick from some beads and an eye pin, and dangled a charm from it, then tucked it behind the martini sentiment.

See you tomorrow,
hugs,
Colette xx
