A penny for your thoughts!

I have used one of the gorgeous Sassy Cheryl images available at Paper Creator for my card today called - A penny for your thoughts. I loved this image the moment I saw it, so just had to have a play with it. Around the same time that I got the image I paid a visit to Nitwits and found the Hello Sunshine collection, which just happened to jump into my shopping basket when I wasn't looking, - it was obviously desperate to come and live on my computer, so I had to buy it, didn't I?! I'm pleased to say it has settled in very nicely and has already made itself useful LOL!

Teddy Bo Tuesday

Hi there, welcome to another Teddy Bo Tuesday.
This week I decided I would use a couple of older images. I've been with Teddy Bo right from the very start, and have every stamp that has ever been released, quite a lot of which I have never used. Now that the challenges have gone monthly, it gives me a chance to play with some of those images, and today you get 2 for the price of 1.
As it's Mother's Day here in the UK on the 10th March, I thought I would make a couple of cards with Mums in mind.

More Crafty Devils

I have been up since 5.30 this morning as my daughter isn't too well, she has a bit of a cold but I think it's affecting her stomach as well, poor thing - every time she coughs or sneezes ........well let's just say it's not very pleasant! Meg is disabled and unable to walk so can't get herself to the toilet, I have spent most of the morning so far elbow deep in disinfectant, anti-bacterial spray and hand sanitizer. She says she is feeling a little better now so hopefully the worst is over.
I was up around 2am with her too as she needed toileting and turning, so I am feeling quite tired this morning. I don't have the grandsons today so was planning a day of crafting, I think it will be a day of sleeping instead now LOL!

I meant to schedule this post last night, but completely forgot so being up early has given me the opportunity to get it done. I have a couple more samples of cards made using Papermania's Chronology and Vintage Notes collections.
All products used are available from Crafty Devils Papercraft.

Chronology 6x6 Paper pad (watch cut from one of the papers)
Chronology Die Cut Toppers
Chronology Brads

Vintage Notes Decoupage Card Kit
Vintage Notes Lace Borders

Surprise!!!

I just had to have this image when I came across it in the Redonkulous store, for one thing it made me giggle, and for another I thought it was perfect for male cards.

I decided to keep the layout quite simple on this card and let the image do the talking.

Digital Papers - It's a Boy Thing - Crazy 4 Monograms
Glossy Accents (on the cherries)

You may remember the wedding cards I made recently using the Redonkulous wedding couple, the ones with the black background papers, well I've since made another, same design, but with pink backing paper, so thought I would pop it on to this post too.

Spread your wings and fly

I have another one of the fab Paper Creator cards to show you today. I think it looks very elegant in black and white.
I used my quickie glue pen to draw over all the lines of the criss cross patterned paper and sprinkled them with glamour dust, added black pearls to the black dots of the paper design and tiny AB gems in-between. A black organza bow and some little punched butterflies finished it off and I also made up the matching envelope.

Tonic mini boot punch - Butterfly
Pearls, gems and ribbon - Meiflower

Two Hearts

As today is Valentine's day I thought that maybe we should have a little bit of love on the blog, so my card is made from another kit from Paper Creator called Two Hearts, the kit is supposed to make a 6x6 card, but I decided to make an A5 landscape card instead.
I used the parts from the kit, but spread them out a bit. The heart image is printed twice, I cut the larger heart away from the smaller heart and ribbon on the second layer  so that the smaller heart stood out a bit more, I also added a button and some cord over the button and cord printed on the image, and diamanté swirls to some of the corners.

Kit - Two hearts 6x6 card kit - Paper Creator
Colorbox fluid chalk ink pad - Chestnut Roan
Ribbons, brown pearls and pink gems - Meiflower

Happy Valentine's Day

Teddy Bo Tuesday

Our current challenge theme over on the Teddy Bo challenge blog is
Anything Goes
and as we will be celebrating Valentines Day on Thursday I thought I would go with a love themed card this time around, using one of this month's new releases and non-traditional Valentine colours.
Although the photo doesn't show it, the heart is shaped and has a triple layer of foam pads down the centre so it stands out quite a bit from the card.

Di's Digi's Baby scales and freebie baby date stamp

I loooooovvvvvve this baby digi stamp from Di's Digi downloads, it's soooo cute and I couldn't wait to colour it,  although I had to, as I have had my hands full looking after the grandchildren. I finally managed to get it done and made up into a couple of cards at the end of last week.
My oldest daughters half brother and sister are both expecting baby girls, her brother any day now and her sister next month, we already know the name of her brothers baby, so I made up a date stamp and added the month, year and baby's name before printing, just need to circle the date once baby arrives.
The square card was a sample for Meiflower, using some of her wooden embellishments.

Image - Baby Bear Scales - Di's Digi Downloads - Coloured using Photoshop
Papers - Welcome Home Baby - Crazy-4-monograms (colour tweaked in Photoshop)
Lifestyle Nesting Dies - Doily Square
LeCrea Multi die - Flower 002
Cheery Lyn - Leaf Flourish strip
Tonic small boot punch - Daisy
Satin ribbon and Pearls - Meiflower

Details as above plus
Martha Stewart Punch - Layered arches
Wooden embellishments, Pearl heart buckle, metallic edged ribbon and pink gems - Meiflower

If you would like the date stamp you can snag it from here, it's a .png file (transparent) so you can print it onto coloured paper and the colour will show through.
Just left click to enlarge, right click image and then save as...
As it's a .png file it may not show up too well when you enlarge it but will download correctly.

here's the boy version too.

Cosmetics easel card

I made this card for a friend who loves her perfumes and make up. I wanted these things to be the main focus of the card, so came up with this shaped easel card. The whole design is done in layers, including the little eye shadow compact which was fiddly but worth it, as it looks really effective in real life.

All papers and images - Oh So Pretty Kit - Just So Scrappy
Tonic and EK success flower punches
Ribbon, yellow and crystal gems, pink sequin blossoms (flower centre's)
and heart shaped dazzlers (sentiment panel) - Meiflower

Teddy Bo Tuesday

It's the start of a new month and that means new releases and a new challenge at Teddy Bo.
We are going to keep the theme of our challenges as
Anything Goes
but as Valentines day is coming up we would love to see some of your love inspired cards too.
You will have until Sunday 3rd March to get your entries in.

On Saturday evening I went to see Donny and Marie Osmond who are touring with their Las Vegas show, I went with my friend Julie and her daughter Alison and can I just say WOW!!! what a fabulous show, I wasn't a particularly big Donny fan in the 70's but Julie always rings me before she books anything to see if I want to go and I always say yes, a night out is a night out after all! It was definitely one of the best shows I have seen, Marie Osmond has a phenomenal voice and can sing any style of music, she did an amazing version of Pie Jesu, which had the whole arena on their feet for a very long ovation. Donny came out into the audience and was totally mobbed, the lady sitting next to me, managed to kiss him and get a kiss back, she told me all about it throughout the interval she was totally gobsmacked!
The Liverpool show was the last of the tour, but if they come back again, try and go see them, I know I'll be there again.

 Now back to Teddy Bo

The Wedding Couple

Today I have two cards to show you (using a fabulous Redonkulous image), which are exactly the same except for the flowers used on them. I had just finished one as a sample for Meiflower using her gorgeous satin ribbon flowers, when my daughter arrived and asked if I could do her one the same for a friend who is getting married next weekend. I had just taken delivery of my newest (and favouritist!!!) flower die and couldn't wait to use it and this gave me the perfect opportunity.

Paper Creator Challenge 3 - Circular Easel

Time for a new challenge over at Paper Creator and this time around our theme is going to be.....
A Circular Easel Card
(There is a Twisted Circular Easel template available in store on Special Offer for only £1 at the moment)

So if you fancy being in with a chance to win £10 to spend in store then pop over to the challenge blog and link your circular easel card up. You don't have to use Paper Creator products to enter but if you do you'll get an extra entry in the random draw.

I used one of the toppers from the Bumper Topper Selection on my card. The image I wanted to use was the largest on the topper sheet (almost A5 size) which would have been too big for my project, so I printed the sheet out at A5 size and my topper was just right.
