Yes it's that time of the year again!  As you know around this time every year I make a selection of wedding invitation samples for Meiflower, which go on display on her stall at all the craft shows they attend. I try to keep the designs quite simple as I know how time consuming it can be making wedding stationery, I have done it myself a few times.

Today I have three for you to take a look at.

Silver satin ribbon and diamanté heart topper - Meiflower

If you are off to the Sincerely yours craft show at Leigh this weekend, then you can see them in the 2flesh", I'm going on Saturday morning for a couple of hours, so I might see you there.

Mermaid Izzy

I found this image in my stash, partly coloured, so I decided it was time to finish colouring her and add her to a card. I matched the colours up to the papers in a Kay Miller digital scrapbook kit called The Blue Lagoon, I also printed the wave border from the kit, cut it out, glittered some of the "waves" and used it as an embellishment across the middle of my card.

Papers and waves - Blue Lagoon page kit - Kay Miller
Frame - Lea'bilities Curved Frame
Memory box Marietta buckle die

Circle easel card

I'm a bit fed up with square cards at the moment, I seem to have made loads recently, probably not helped by the fact that all the wedding invitation samples I did for Meiflower had to be square to fit on her display boards correctly, so today I have a circle instead..

I have used one of the new Ultimate Kits from Paper Creator, called A little something pink, everything I've used comes from the kit with the exception of the flowers, leaves and lace.

Lace - Stash
Nellie Snellen floral pair punches - Flower #2 and Rose leaf
Tonic layering dies - Circles and Scalloped circles
Gems - Meiflower

When is a chocolate bar wrapper not a chocolate bar wrapper?...

...When it's a backing paper of course LOL!

It's time for a new challenge over at The Paper Shelter today and this time around the theme is

Recycle - use something recycled on your creation

bet that blog title is starting to make sense now!

There are great prizes up for grabs! If you are our randomly selected winner and play with a TPS image then you have a chance of winning a $30 gift certificate, any other image and you will win three digis of your choice.

So just in case the blog post title didn't give it away, I have recycled the wrapper from a bar of Galaxy bubbles chocolate, mmmmm, yummy! a delicious present from my good friend Karen. The paper is a lovely metallic brown colour with yellow gold rings all over it and as I was licking the chocolate off the wrapper  brushing chocolate crumbs from the wrapper :-) I knew it would be perfect for this challenge. The red glitter hearts were die-cut and punched from a Christmas card.

I made an easel card with a little tag tucked in behind the main image.

Digital stamp - Birds Couple - The Paper Shelter
Papers - Love you - Just So Scrappy
Ovals - Spellbinders nestabilities - Oval Bliss

Criss Cross pocket card

I have been mega busy over the last few weeks putting some wedding invitation samples together for Meiflower, which has meant that the rest of my crafting has taken a bit of a back seat, and my poor blog has been sadly neglected, but the samples are all done now and I will be delivering them into Mei's hands this Saturday at the Stitching, Sewing and Hobbycrafts show at Event City, Manchester, so hopefully I can get back to normality.

Paper Creator has recently brought out some fabulous new Ultimate kits, with lovely images, papers and extras, pop over to the store and check them all out.
I decided to use the A little something blue Ultimate kit and have a go at  making a criss cross pocket card, the tag pulls out of the top to add your message and I also added a die-cut stand to the back.

Image and Papers - A little something blue Ultimate kit - Paper Creator
Fiskars border punch
Tonic Layering dies - scalloped circle
Joy Craft card stand
Ribbon - Meiflower

You could make soooo many cards with just this one kit, the possibilites are endless.

You will receive:

- A selection of 12x12 Papers
- Coloured digi image
- Topper in PNG format (approx 8 inches)
- Sentiments in PNG format
- Build A Topper Sheet - compatible with Spellbinders Standard Cirles (approx 3 3/4 inch)
& Grand Scalloped Dies (approx 4 5/8 inch).
- Small toppers sheet
- Large toppers sheet
- Selection of paper bows

The toppers in the kit are compatible with Spellbinders dies, but if like me, you don't own the dies, then you can just cut them out with scissors.

hugs,
