Frosted Ice

Well it won't be long before Santa will be flying through the sky delivering presents to all the good boys and girls ( I hope you've been good LOL!) and with that in mind I have two final Christmas cards to show you, featuring the big man doing just that!

I used a fabulous download from www.crafting.co.uk it's called Night Sky - Frosted Ice and I love it!

Night Sky - Frosted Ice kit
Silver Mirri card
Die'sire Lace border 6 - Crafters Companion
Woven circle die - Memory Box
Metallic edged satin ribbon and gems - Meiflower

Night Sky - Frosted Ice kit
Silver Mirri card
Silver glittery strips - Wrapping ribbon - local Wilkinson's store
Metallic edged satin ribbon and satin flower - Meiflower

There is quite a bit of glamour dust on both of these cards unfortunately it doesn't show up very well in the photos.

I also thought I would pop this final Christmas card on so that they are all blogged by Christmas

Almost everything on this card is from a fabulous kit called Snow Buddies from Just so Scrappy
the only extras are the sentiment (not sure where that came from) and glamour dust.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all my blog visitors and followers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy  New Year, I hope Santa brings you everything you wished for and you and your families thoroughly enjoy the holidays.

See you in the New Year,
hugs,
Colette xx

You can never have too much of a good Bling!!!

Not sure if I went a bit over the top with the bling on these two cards, but then again, I am a firm believer in the saying "You can never have too much bling or chocolate" LOL!

The first card was inspired by a wedding anniversary card I received from my friend Karen and the second one was a free digital stamp in one of my Complete Cardmaking Magazines - the wreath image was covered with different sized circles which were just begging (honestly, I could hear them, please bling us up they were saying hehe!) to have bling added to them!

Special Delivery

I recently saw a card on somebodies blog (can't remember where though) with a link to a tutorial, I loved the shape and style of card, so I followed the link, and then followed the tutorial, and made myself one.
I used the fabulous Special Stork Delivery Girl illustration by Sassy Cheryl, which I picked up at Paper Creator a while ago and some gorgeous digital baby papers from lliella designs at Sweet Shoppe, I also used some digital flowers from Fred she Said to decorate the card.

Card Tutorial - From my Craft room blog
Papers - Baby Girl by lliella designs at Sweet Shoppe
Flowers - Pink and Mellow Freebie - Fred she Said
Sentiment - computer generated
Ribbon, gems and pink dummy - Meiflower

I really like the way this turned out, can see me doing more of this style in the future.

Paper Creator challenge #2

The next Paper Creator challenge starts today (a couple of days late, due to unforeseen circumstances) and this time around the theme chosen by Christina is

Black, White and One other Colour

I decided to use the Sassy Cheryl illustration Christmas Star Angel for my card and teamed it up with some red and black digi papers. I printed the image out twice and attached the stars head and dress with foam pads for a bit of dimension.

Christmas Banner - Computer Generated
Glamour dust on stars and Angel's dress

Pop over to the Paper Creator challenge blog and check out the fabulous inspiration from the other girls, and don't forgot to enter our challenge, you do not have to use Paper Creator products, but will get an extra entry if you do, and you could win a £10 voucher to spend in store. The challenge will run for two weeks so plenty of time to get your entries in.

Last Teddy Bo of 2012

I thought I would share this card with you today, the Teddy Bo DT are officially on Christmas Break, but I couldn't resist using this little beauty to make one last card. This is one of my favourite Teddy Bea Christmas images so it seemed only fitting that I should use it on my last Teddy Bo card of the year.

Papers - from my box of scraps
Teddy Bea background paper - lliella and K Miller - snow friends.
Whimsical flourish - Memory Box die
Poinsettia - Marianne Craftables LR0142

Snow Time

Today I have another Paper Creator card to show you, once again using a Sassy Cheryl image. The card kit contains everything needed to decorate a 6 x 6 card blank, backing panels, topper,  pyramage layers, matching envelope, box, inserts and various sentiments.

I inked around the edges of the card blank and layers, adding a punched border down one side, ribbon, charm and some card candi, I also fussy cut around the sentiment, rather than using as it came, and made up the matching envelope.

Kit - Snowtime 6x6 card kit - Paper Creator
Fiskars Snow border punch
Card candi - stash
Ribbon and snowflake charm - Meiflower

Teddy Bo Tuesday

As there are going to be no new Teddy Bo releases until the New Year the DT are showcasing some of their favourite cards from the past, I was planning on colouring and using some of the images that I haven't had a chance to play with yet, but unfortunately I've had one of those weeks and haven't been able to do any colouring or even much in the way of card making, so I am going to showcase one of my favourite cards from last Christmas.

Image TEDDYBOBEA_091 coloured in Photoshop
Kraft and white cardstock
CartUs - snowflakes embossing folder
Cuttlebug - Swiss dots embossing folder
Ribbon - MeiFlower
Lace - Stash

We are starting a new Anything Goes challenge over at Teddy Bo which will be our final challenge of the year and will run until 8th January, so plenty of time to get some entries in if you manage to get some crafting done over the holiday period.

Don't forget the Teddy Bo sale is running until 24th December.

Thanks for popping by,

Where the snow falls

Here's another Paper Creator card kit, I'm loving this type of pyramage, it adds dimension to the card, but there is not as much intricate cutting as there would be with decoupage (still my favourite way of adding dimension though LOL!).

The card kit uses the Flat Bottom Snowy illustration from Sassy Cheryl (image also available at Paper Creator), and this time around I have chosen to make the matching box.

Card Kit - Where the Snow Falls - Paper Creator
Snowflake die - Die-namics Jumbo Snowflake (sprayed with adhesive and sprinkled with Glamour Dust)
I also picked out the snowflakes on the image topper with my quickie glue pen
and sprinkled with Glamour Dust.

Thanks for stopping by,
see you tomorrow,
hugs,

Sassy Sally On the Edge

Just for a change from all the Christmas cards (still more to come) here is a card I made using Sassy Cheryl's Sassy Sally Butterfly Illustration available from Paper Creator.

I love making these "on the edge" cards and have made a few over the past few months, and I thought this was the perfect image to make another one.

Papers - Rotten to the Core - Sweet Shoppe Designs

Teddy Bo Tuesday

Not too long until Christmas now, only 20 more sleeps until Santa, my seven year old grandson is very excited, and is trying his best to be good so that Santa doesn't take any presents out of his sack (it's the perfect time of year for blackmail and threats LOL!)

We are half way through our current Anything Goes challenge over at Teddy Bo, so still time to get your entry in if you would like to play along. There won't be any new releases now until the new year, so for now the DT are showcasing their favourite Teddy Bo or Fairydoodler cards, or in my case making a card using one of the many images I haven't had a chance to play with yet.

Papers - Brrrrr- Just So Scrappy
Ribbons and gems - Meiflower

There is a big 35% off Christmas sale going on over at Teddy Bo and Co across all three stores, and you can get the above digi stamp in a pack of 6 Percy images for only £1.63, check it out and grab yourself a bargain.

Don't forget to pop over to the TB challenge blog and play along with our Anything Goes challenge, and while there check out the fabby inspiration from Team B.

See you soon,
hugs,
Colette xx
