Hexagon Easel card

Today's card uses a kit from one of Paper Creator's Multi Card kits, each kit contains 3 different designs using the same image, I chose the Sprinkles multi card kit and made up the hexagon easel card and matching box.

Here's my card, sitting on top of it's box.

I added a punched border around the edge of the main image panel, (a bit fiddly but worth the effort) and used foam pads for the decoupage layers, then finished off with a cupcake and wish charm and some satin ribbon bows which matched the blue colour in the design. 

After putting the box together, I punched a hole in one of the extra sentiment panels, added a bow and fixed it to the box lid.

Flapper Emma card and more crocheting

It was my birthday yesterday, I didn't really feel like celebrating much, (still missing Meg way too much) and we were at a Christening anyway, but Eric booked today off work and we decided we would go out for the day.

We had been given an afternoon tea gift card by my friend Donna, as a thank you for a job my hubby had done for her, so I booked that for this afternoon and depending on the weather we will maybe go for a nice walk somewhere this morning - or maybe visit a wool shop (got a bit of a wool addiction going on at the moment LOL!).

Today I thought I would share this easel card I made a couple of weeks ago.

I coloured up the Flapper Emma digital stamp from Pink Gem designs and used digital scrapbook papers and embellishments from a Just so scrappy kit called My Beloved. I mounted Emma onto ovals from the Tonic Layering dies mixed ovals set.

The rose pendant and sentiment tag are embellishments from the digital kit, I printed the pendant out a couple of times and then decoupaged it up using foam pads and added a computer generated sentiment to the tag. The birthday greeting is also computer generated. The lace, feathers and pearl string are from my stash, and I added Meiflower stick on gems and pearls to the image for her necklace and hat decoration, finally the birthday sentiment is mounted onto a Spellbinders Fancy Tags 3 die-cut.

Also I have a couple more baby blankets to show you, these were made from a Hayfields pattern.

The first I gave to my hairdresser as she is expecting a baby boy in the summer and the second was requested by my daughter Stacy as a gift for a work friend who is having a little girl later in the year, the pink and grey were chosen to match her nursery colours.

Shine bright like a diamond

A few posts ago I showcased some "blingy"sample cards that I had made for Meiflower, well today I thought I would share a couple more. As per the previous blingy cards, I must apologise for the rubbish photo for the second card, the weather was awful the day I took it and I didn't have time to faff around as I had to get the cards off to Meiflower for a craft show she was attending.

I put the sentiment together in Photoshop using various fonts - for the word "Diamond" I chose a very narrow font and printed it in a very pale grey colour using it as a template for placement of the stick on gems, the diamond image came courtesy of Mr. Google. I also printed "Shine" in a light grey colour then went over it with a glue pen before sprinkling with glitter, silver grey polka dot ribbon and a diamanté buckle finished it off.

This design was cased from a card I saw HERE,  mine is square, the sentiment was computer generated and I used stick on gems instead of die-cut sequins, all arranged on a Little B square die-cut background.

Anchors Away!

It's the first of the month so it's time for a new Paper Creator challenge and this time we have the really easy theme of 

Anything Goes

Now how easy is that, there's no excuse not to play along, you don't even need to use Paper Creator products but of you do you get an extra entry into the draw.

The randomly selected winner will receive £10 to spend in the store.

I don't really make very many male cards, I love my bling and girly colours too much I think, I am going to try and make more of an effort in the male card department this year though... maybe LOL!

Anyway, for the anything goes challenge I decided to go down the masculine route, and used the Anchors Away shelf card from the All About Shelf Cards Mega Bundle.

There is so much going on with these cards that I didn't feel like it needed lots of extra embellishments, so I just made up the card as it came, adding the decoupage layers, then I cut the shells off some of the extra sentiment panels, and added them to the panel I used and another on each of the sides of the main card.

I had some flatback string pearls that I had bought at a closing down sale early last year and decided they would be perfect for the theme. I also used stick on pearls around the scalloped oval frame, fixing the larger ones within every other scallop and then the tiny ones in between.

Anita and her unicorn

I made this card last year but have only now got around to blogging it, I loved the image as soon as I saw it and coloured her up straight away, it then took me a while to get around to making the card, and finally almost a year after finishing it, I have managed to blog it, now, who says I procrastinate LOL!.
