Hello Handsome!

Today is the start of a new challenge over at the Paper Shelter and this week our theme is...

Show us your masculine cards to be in with a chance of a fab prize.
If you are our randomly selected winner and play with a TPS image then you have a chance of winning a $30 gift certificate, any other image and you will win three digis of your choice.

I used the ridiculously smarmy Prince Charming pre-coloured image from the Paper Shelter, made a sentiment for the background in Photoshop using various fonts, and then gave him pride of place right at the front. I also printed out a second version of the Prince, fussy cut him and used foam pads to fix him over the original image (not showing very well in photo). A couple of regal looking photo corners and gold studs (card candi) was all it needed to finish off.

Digital image - Prince Charming - The Paper Shelter
A5 Landscape Kraft card blank - Craft Creations
Argyle paper, photo corners- all from scrap box
Gold card candi - Stash

Thanks for calling,

Sittin' and thinkin'

We are halfway through our February challenge over at Paper Creator so I thought I would give you a quick reminder, the theme for the month is obviously Love is in the Air and you still have plenty of time to get your love related cards entered and in with a chance of winning a £10 voucher to spend in store.

I used one of the cute Sassy Cheryl illustrations to make today's card.

Oh no! who stole the lamp post?

There is a new challenge starting today over at The Paper Shelter and the theme is...

(Birthday, Easter, Anniversary, New baby etc.)

There are great prizes up for grabs! If you are our randomly selected winner and play with a TPS image then you have a chance of winning a $30 gift certificate, any other image and you will win three digis of your choice.

I decided to use the Magical Light image, which would normally be used for Christmas, but I wanted to use the girl to make a special birthday card. My plan was to have her leaning against a die-cut number rather than the lamp post, so I only coloured up the girl and then cut her out leaving the lamp post behind.

Digital stamp - Magical Light - The Paper Shelter
Papers from scrap box (think they are Nitwits)
Lace - Stash
Die-cut numbers - Tonic essentials chevron number one and stripes number two
Ribbon, gems and diamante key charm - Meiflower

Pop over to the challenge blog and check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the team.

Thanks for stopping by,
hugs,

Love is in the Air!

It's February, the month of everything LOVE related, so I can't wait for the 28th cos I Luv pancakes - especially filled with Nutella, shortbread biscuit crumbs and strawberries - mmmm pancake heaven!

I suppose I should also mention the other little love related day that occurs this month too, so yaaaay Happy Valentines day and all that mushy stuff!

As it's the first of the month and time for a new challenge over at Paper Creator what better theme to choose than...

Pancakes  Love is in the Air

The winner will receive a £10 store credit to spend in the Paper Creator store.
Paper Creator products are not essential, but you will gain an extra entry into the random draw if using them. The challenge runs for the whole of the month and the winner is announced at the start of the next month's challenge

After searching the store and finding nothing pancake related (totally gutted), I finally decided to use the Oh so Huggable gatefold card kit to make a sweet, lovey card suitable for Valentine's day. I cut out and made up the card, adding the layers of decoupage to the front, I used ribbon down the left hand gate and three die-cut glitter hearts and some gems down the right hand gate to jazz it up.

take care,
