Summer Break

This week we are having our usual summer break challenge at The Paper Shelter, it's a joint challenge, both design teams will be taking part, it will run for 2 weeks and there will be no commenting.
Our theme is the super easy...

There are great prizes up for grabs! If you are our randomly selected winner and play with a TPS image then you have a chance of winning a $30 gift certificate, any other image and you will win three digis of your choice.

I made an engagement card using the giraffe valentine image from the Giraffes on Holidays pack. My card is what I am going to call a double fold back card, (not sure if that's the correct term, but it will do), First, I scored at 6cm and 10cm from the left hand edge, then flipped the card 180 degrees and did the same for the other side, next I valley folded at 6cm and a mountain folded at 10cm. I also used a border punch down each outside edge.

You're a Classic!

It's time for another challenge over at Paper Shelter and this week our theme is ...

My second masculine card this month, must have had a rush of blood to my head!

My husband Eric will be celebrating his 60th birthday in a few days time so I decided to use this challenge to make his card. I've used the Vintage Car image from TPS, the original image has flowers and a pocket watch type thing as well, but I erased them before printing.

Bucket of Flowers

Today I have a Paper Creator card, made from a kit in a Mega Bundle, but not made as it was intended.

It came from the Mixed Card Mega Bundle and should be a gate fold card, but I used elements from the download to make a square card instead, I added the sentiment in Photoshop to the blank chalkboard and made up the included decoupage, taking the background paper from the topper sheet, the pink card came from my stash and the large pearls are from a multi sized pack which came from Meiflower.

The Mixed Card Mega bundle is a bargain at only £9 for 30 kits, there are 15 gate fold cards and 15 diamond fold cards, covering a variety of occasions, and as my card shows you can do more with them than just what it says on the box LOL!

Sunny Days

We should be properly into the summer by now, so the latest Paper Shelter challenge has come along at the perfect time, this week our theme is...

There are great prizes up for grabs! If you are our randomly selected winner and play with a TPS image then you have a chance of winning a $30 gift certificate, any other image and you will win three digis of your choice.

I used one of my favourite images Zoe Spring, (I know, it's a summer theme, but with some summery colours she could easily be Zoe Summer). Unfortunately on going to link her up I couldn't find her, so I'm thinking she may be off on her holibobs, or possibly retired.

Butterfly - Penny Black creative dies - Flutters

Just for Men

Can you believe it's July already, It will be Christmas before you know it! Anyway as it is July it is time for our latest monthly challenge at Paper Creator and this time the theme is...

Pretty simple hey?

The winner will receive a £10 store credit to spend in the Paper Creator store.

Paper Creator products are not essential, but you will gain an extra entry into the random draw if using them.

I used the Golfin' Bear shaped easel kit, adding some grosgain ribbon and buttons from Meiflower and a golf club charm I found in my stash.

Before you go I thought you might like to see yet another of my crochet baby blankets, I made it last year and can't remember whether I downloaded the pattern, or it's one I have in my collection, I don't have time to take a look at the moment as I am in the middle of making another blanket,(a C2C graphgan) which is a bit more complicated and needs lots of concentration.
