Snowey!

Another snowman card from me today, with another kit from the fabulous Paper Creator Christmas Card Mega Bundle, using a super cute Sassy Cheryl image.

Although the kit is a 6x6 card kit, by printing out the backing papers sheet twice and using them as a base and stopper, I have managed to put together an Easel card. The kit comes with decoupage but I just cut around the first layer (the whole image) leaving a narrow white border which I glittered and mounted it with foam pads.

Kit - Snowey The Snowman 6x6 card kit - Paper Creator
Snowflake border punch - Martha Stewart
Ribbon, gems and snowflake charm - Meiflower

See you tomorrow

Teddy No Bo Tuesday

Welcome to another Teddy Bo Tuesday, this week Team B are hosting the challenge and once again the theme is
Anything goes.
I don't actually have a Teddy Bo image for you today, because alongside the Teddy Bo new releases,  we also have the launch of The Snowies, a fabulous collection of snowmen from the Teddy Bo creator Gayle  Cook, and as my team aren't hosting the challenge this week we get the chance to play with The Snowies instead.
If you like snowmen, you'll love these, they are just so adorable.

I decided to make a shadow box card today, as it's been a while since I last made one.

Image - FAIRYD_SNOW2 - which I coloured using Photoshop
Papers - Christmas Spirit - Dani Mogstad
Large Snowflake - Memory Box Crystal Snowflake die
Small Snowflakes - X-cut snowflake punch
Gems - Meiflower

I took a couple of extra photo's as I wanted to try and show the box and decoupage layers

and also how I decorated the inside to cover the back of the box.

I am entering this card into the following challenges

Glittery Wonderland

Woohoo, I am lucky enough to have been chosen as one of the new members of the Paper Creator Design team, and am so excited to be able to show you my first card made with one of the fabulous Paper Creator kits.

As much as I enjoy colouring in my image, choosing papers and designing a layout, there are also times, when I just want to make some cards without stressing out about which papers to use and how to lay them out and it's times like these when ready to print kits are the perfect solution, I also have some card-making friends who much prefer to use RTP kits as they don't feel they have the skill to put together their own layouts, and Deb's kits are perfect for this as all the design work is done for you, you just print and go.

Paper Creator sell a huge selection of kits, anything from a regular square card to all kinds of fabulous shapes and fancy folds, they are also a licensed seller of the fabulous Sassy Cheryl illustrations, so go check them out.

I was given five kits to play with and managed to put three cards together in a few hours over the weekend, I am hoping to get the last two made up over the next couple of days and will be showing them all to you during the next week or so.

My first card is made from a kit called Glittery wonderland.
The kit contains all pieces needed to make up the card front, with the choice of decoupage or pyramage, plus a matching insert, box and envelope.

I chose to use the decoupage and make the matching box with this card.
Kit - Glittery Wonderland - Paper Creator
Whimsy snowflake die - Winters Jewel 1
Organza, metallic edged ribbon and gems - Meiflower
Quickie glue pen and Glamour dust

The kit is part of a fabulous 10 6x6 Christmas card Mega bundle all for only an amazing £5, now that's a bargain!

Thanks for stopping by,
see you tomorrow for Teddy Bo Tuesday, although there won't be a teddy in sight!!!

Teddy Bo and Company

It's the second week of our Anything Goes challenge at Teddy Bo with some fabulous new releases, and on top of that we also have a new release of D'arcy's Diaries images today too, and a new range coming out on Thursday, so lots to get through today.

There is still a few days left to enter our current Anything Goes challenge, as you have until Sunday 28th October, Midnight GMT to get your entries in, and here in the UK you will even have an extra hour as the clocks go back this week, so there is an extra hour of crafting you don't want to waste, (providing you are still up in the early hours of Sunday morning when the time changes LOL!)

Here's my card using one of this weeks new releases

Image - TEDDYBEA_234 - coloured in Photoshop
Papers, Frame, Fancy mat - If the Crown Fits - Crazy-4-Monograms
Punched border - EK success Arch scallop border punch
Ribbon, Gems and charm  - Meiflower

I used glamour dust and my quickie glue pen to add glitter to the swirly lines on the frame and stuck little AB gems over the dots.
The frame is raised with a layer of foam pads, then Bea's feet are glued flat with a little tacky glue, there is a single foam pad under her legs then a double layer under her body and head, and then a small single pad under each of the balloons, where they rest on the frame, so Bea really does look like she is leaning out of the frame.

and here are all this weeks new releases
Pop over to the challenge blog and check out the rest of my teamies fabulous creations.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now onto D'Arcy's Diaries, this is the first new release for a while and although it is usually on a Thursday, this week it's today instead, as we have something new coming up on Thursday.
I thought this image would be perfect for those stroppy, it's all about me! teens, we all know and love LOL!
Image - DD_066 - coloured in Photoshop
Papers - Kajolica - Sassy Designs Inc.
Wordart - Attitude 12 - Bethany Harty
and here's the rest of the new releases
Check out the challenge blog for some fabulous inspiration.
and if that is not enough for you, we have these coming up on Thursday
Phew! sorry for the long post, but such a lot to get in,
Hope
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and l have had a few friends who have been affected by breast cancer, some still with us and some sadly not, my first card for today is in honour of the bravery of those who have fought and won, and in memory of those who lost their battle after a tough fight.
I made the letters up in Photoshop, printed them out, cut around them and attached
them to the card with foam pads.
Papers - Just a Minute - fay-ette designs
Digital stitching - freebies no longer available
Ribbon, gems, angel wings and ribbon of hope charm - Meiflower
My second card is a friendship card, I love the sentiment and have been meaning to use it for a while now, but when I got the angel wings from Mei I thought they would go perfectly with the words.
Papers - Pink Florale paper pack - Mindy Terasawa
Ribbon, angel wings and gem - Meiflower
Thanks for stopping by,
Zombies or Spiders?
Which of the two would scare you the most? I only ask because today I have two Halloween cards to show you, one with a Zombie and the other spiders.
I wouldn't ordinarily make Halloween cards as they are not something we give out, the kids get dressed up,( I usually end up painting faces) and go around family and the neighbours trick or treating, we always have a big bag of goodies to give out to our Halloween visitors, but we don't swap cards, so unless it is something to do with DT work I wouldn't normally bother, but earlier this year I found a Zombie word art at Graphicat which tickled me and I just had to have it, (with no idea when I would ever use it LOL!), and then a few weeks ago I came across a brilliant Zombie digital stamp at Just Inklined and knew it was perfect for the word art and this card is the result.
Image - Bubzombie - Just Inklined  - coloured in Photoshop
Word art - Graphicat
Papers - Thrills and Chills - Crazy 4 Monograms
Grosgrain polka dot ribbon and axe charm - Meiflower
Here is a close up of the zombie, I gave him very bloodshot eyes and decoupaged his skull, eyes and eyebags, hair and hands. The eyeballs were given a coat of glossy accents, and instead of layering his hands flat I curved them forward and used a small foam pad under just the centre of each hand so that they look like they are reaching for you.
My daughter has already claimed this card for her friend's birthday next year as she is a big fan of Zombie movies and she thinks this would be perfect for her!
I am entering this card into the following challenges
Crafting for all Seasons - #38 Spooky
Divas by Design - #57 Spooky
Can You Digi It - #20 Creepy & Kooky
Simon Says Stamp - Eerie
Papertake Weekly - Fright Night,,,,,,,, Boo
Lexi's Creations - Halloween
MyGrafico- Anything Goes
Tammy's Scrapin Corner  - Anything Goes
Scrapper`s Delights Paper Crafts -  Halloween
Scrappy Frogs -  Fall/Halloween
Aud Sentiments Challenge - Use a Halloween sentiment
My second card was inspired by one of those vinyl wall art sayings, which once again tickled me, and a spider web border I found in one of the digital scrap booking stores I visit.
The spider webs have been glittered with black glitter and the spiders highlighted with glossy accents.
Spider web border - Halloween Borders - IndigoD
Purple paper and FEAR alphas - Witches Brew Collab - My Scrapbook Art
Skull - digital stash
Corner web -Just Treats Please - Crazy 4 Monograms
Blingy spider came from a necklace from Poundland
Well that's it from me today, I'll be back over the weekend with a couple more cards.
Colette xx
Ho Ho Ho
 I used to do a lot of digital scrap booking and have hundreds of kits on my hard drive, when I swapped from scrap booking to card making I didn't use the kits any more, but recently I realised that there are papers in all those kits that I could use for my card making, so I have started looking through them again and using quite a few of them.
A couple of weeks ago I did a Google image search for a paper design that I was looking for and came across a digital scrap booking store called Crazy 4 Monograms, where I discovered that all the kits were only $1.50 (roughly £1 sterling), the kits contained anywhere from 20 to 40 papers as well as some great clip art and digital embellishments (the kit I've used has 34 papers, 4 alphas and loads of embellishments), they were such a bargain I snapped up quite a few and will be back for more.
Anyway to get to the point -  today I am showing you a scalloped circle easel card which was made almost entirely from one of these kits. I made the scalloped circle and fancy frame shape myself in Photoshop , the circle sentiment was from Cuddly Buddly and I added ribbon and a couple of gems.
If you love digi papers and images then pop over to Crazy 4 Monograms and have a look around I don't think you will be disappointed.
All papers and Santa image - Santa Baby - Crazy 4 Monograms
Circle sentiment - Cuddly Buddly
Green ribbon and red gems - Meiflower
I am entering this card into the following challenges
Teddy Bo Tuesday
Did you know there are only 10 more Teddy Bo Tuesdays until Christmas and when I say Christmas I mean Christmas Day which is on a Tuesday this year, I hope you've made a start on those Christmas cards, because it will be here before you know it LOL!
It's also the start of a new challenge this week over at Teddy Bo and once again we are going with an
Anything Goes
theme, as long as it contains a Teddy Bo and Co image.
Even though I've mentioned Christmas cards above I haven't actually got a Christmas card to show you today, but there are some cute images amongst this weeks new releases for making those Baby's first Christmas cards.
I have used the new sketchy Jolie image, which comes in a dark and light print - for my card I used the light sketch.
Image - TEDDYBOBEA_143_Light - coloured in Photoshop
Kraft card - Anna Marie Designs - picked up at Craft show
Papers - A Spring Thing - Manda Bean and Christy Lyle
Christmas Blessings
Phew! finally got a minute to sit down and blog, mind you, my minute is at almost 2am in the morning LOL!
Life has been hectic here in the Smith household for the last few weeks, but for some reason has seemed even more so this week, but I wanted to try and blog some of the recent card samples I have made for Mei, so today we start with this one using the new very sparkly angel wings, (you'll be seeing a few more cards with the wings on).
Image - Christmas Blessings - Michelle Perkett - coloured in Photoshop
Papers - Christmas with Mr Claus - Fayette Designs (no longer available)
Grosgain Ribbon, diamanté buckle and angel wings - Meiflower
Thanks for popping by, will hopefully be back over the weekend with another sample.
Teddy Bo Tuesday
Good morning, it's a beautiful crisp Autumn morning here in Liverpool today, the sky is blue, the sun is shining and the leaves in the park across from my house are just starting to turn those lovely autumnal colours, although they are still mostly green at the moment.
Yesterday was my youngest daughter Meg's 22nd birthday, so we had a busy day with lots of visitors, unfortunately Meg is not too well at the moment and spent most of the day in bed. She did manage to get up and sit in her wheelchair for an hour in the morning so that she could open her pressies, but that was about as much as she could cope with, so it was back to bed and there she stayed. We all ended up gathering around her bed in the evening to sing happy birthday to her and for her to blow out her candles.
Anyway enough prattling on, here's today's card and how cute is baby Bo?
Image - TEDDYBO_222 - coloured in Photoshop
Papers - Our little Prince - Shabby Princess
Die - Heart Dies - Marianne Craftables
Chilly Chilli!
Today I have another Christmas card to show you, the penguin I have used comes from a kit I purchased from Tinker n Co called Chilli penguin Snowflakes for Sale, as well as the digital stamp you get a coloured version of the penguin and some papers.
For my card I used the digital stamp, coloured him in Photoshop and then used some digital papers from a scrapbooking kit to put the card together. I have glittered all the snowflakes in the sky, around the edge of the two big snowflakes and all over the snowflake in Chilli's hat.
The stitching around the paper is also digital, it was a freebie I picked up years ago and is unfortunately no longer available.
Image - Chilli Penguin Snowflakes for sale digital stamp - coloured in Photoshop
Papers - Snow Friends - LLiella and K. Miller - Sweet Shoppe Designs
Digital stitches - Freebie
Letters made up in Photoshop with a mix of papers and a font.
Metallic edged silver grey ribbon, snowflake charm and gems - Meiflower.
I have been busy making some samples for Mei using some of her new stock and will be showing them over the next week or so.
See you soon,
Hugs,
Lights, Camera, Action
I meant to post this over the weekend, but it completely slipped my mind.
I was asked by a friend to make a card for her son who is into movies - big style - not just watching, but directing, etc. as well, so using nothing but a couple of digital Scrapbooking kits, here is what I came up with.
Kits used -
Filmstrip, projector, directors chair, ticket  - Movie Night - My Memories
Clapperboard - Movie Night - Miss Mint
Papers, date ticket, filmstrip frame - 2 thumbs up - Sweet Shoppe Designs
Movie posters inserted into filmstrip frame - downloaded from Google
Thanks for stopping by,
Teddy Bo Tuesday
Hello and welcome to yet another Teddy Bo Tuesday, Team B are hosting this week's challenge
and once again the theme is
Anything Goes
but this time with an optional sketch.
I have used one of this weeks new releases for my card, but chose not to follow the sketch (actually that's not quite true, I started off following the sketch  (you just might be able to recognise parts of it),but then my mind wandered (that happens a lot at my age hehe! ) so I just decided to go with the flow LOL!).
Image - TEDDYBO_219 - Coloured in Photoshop
Papers - Echo Park Digital - Merry Christmas
Ornaments Border die - Whimsy Shapeology
Gingham ribbon, and Christmas Tree charm - Meiflower
The string of ornaments were die cut twice, once in red holographic card and once in green, I pushed out the centre designs and then swapped them over and pushed them back into place, using a little bit of tape on the back of each to make sure they stay in place.
Pop over to the store and take at look at the rest
The challenge runs until Sunday 14th October Midnight (GMT) and the winner gets to choose five Teddy Bo digital images, including the new releases.
Also don't forget to check out the fabulous inspiration from Team B this week over on the challenge blog.
See you soon,
Hugs,
Colette xx
