Last week I showed you my first Saturated Canary card, well I made this one at the same time and have finally had the chance to blog it.

Another beautiful image, which I thoroughly enjoyed colouring, I am definitely going to try and find the time to colour me up some more.

Teddy Bo Tuesday

I'm so busy these days I feel like I am constantly chasing my tail, but no matter how hard I try I just can't catch it, which as I don't have a tail is nigh on impossible anyway LOL!
Between looking after my 10 month old grandson, doing the school run, to pick up my 7yr old grandson and looking after Meg, there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day, in fact I swear that somebody has stolen a few and there are only about 20 in a day now anyway!

My Teddy Bo card this week uses the gorgeous Teddy Bea playing amongst the Autumnal leaves, (isn't she lucky, it doesn't even look like we are getting an Autumn this year - it has gone straight through from Winter, er... Summer to... well... er... Winter! LOL)

My first Saturated Canary

I love the Saturated Canary images, and although I have quite a few in my stash, (and have had for some time), this is the first chance I've had to colour a couple up.
I managed to get two images coloured and here is the first, her name is Jules, and she has been done in my absolute favouritist!!!? colour combo of Blue and Lilac, she is also well blinged up, along with the gems and diamanté buckle I have added glitter to her underskirt, the argyle paper and the squares on the paper strip.

Teddy Bo ...Friday???!

Well I finally made it, a few days later than usual, but at least it's here.
My Grandson Will is seven tomorrow so this one's for him. I have used Teddy Bo dressed as a superhero, and made an acetate easel card. Hopefully Bo looks like he is flying over the city to rescue somebody who is in distress. The cityscape and superhero words all came from a fabulous digital scrapbooking kit.

You still have until Sunday 16th September, midnight (GMT) to enter our anything goes challenge, and check out the Teddy Bo challenge blog today for some more fabulous DT inspiration, this time from Team A.

Thought I would enter this card into a few challenges

Creative Craft Challenges - All about the boys
Cards For Men - must be masculine - Going Digital (use digi stamps & papers)
Make it Monday - always Anything Goes
Here Come the Boys - must be masculine -Teddy Bears

I'm off to the Woman's Weekly Live! Creative stitches and Hobbycraft show tomorrow at Event City, Manchester, (right by the Trafford centre). I'm not after anything in particular, just going for a look around, bet I still spend loads of money though LOL!

Sunday is my twenty third Wedding Anniversary, we don't have anything planned, although we will probably have a few visitors, but hopefully it will be mostly just a relaxing day, which I will need before we get to Monday again and I have the terror that is Charlie, (my ten month old grandson), who is just at that stage where he is into absolutely everything and all I find myself doing is running around after him trying to stop him from eating the TV remote, tissue paper (he seems to have a taste for toilet roll haha!) or shoving toys in the front of the DVD player LOL! Each day I look forward to 12.30 when he has a sleep after his lunch, it used to be for a couple of hours, but now I'm lucky to get one, but at least it gives me time to eat my lunch in peace, otherwise I would have to share it with him, because he stands in front of you giving you the puppy dog eyes until you feed him LOL!

See you soon,
hugs

...and finally!

Had a great day at the car boot sale yesterday, although after getting up at 5am still feeling a little tired today.
We thought we had loads of stuff, until we got there and saw the amount of stuff other people had, then our "huge pile" looked paltry LOL! I was also amazed by how many cars there was, there must have been well over 300, so quite a big boot sale, and very busy.
Anyway by the time it was over at 1pm, we had sold all but about half a dozen items and made just over £120 so it didn't turn out too bad. On top of that it was a beautiful morning, and my poor fair skin managed to get quite sunburned, today I look like a tomato LOL! Luckily although I go very red, I don't burn, so no pain, and by Thursday I will be back to my normal milk bottle complexion and you will never know I had caught the sun, hehe!

This is the last day of my Laptop Toodles and Letter to Santa extravaganza (a bit extravagant I know, but didn't know what else to call it LOL!) so here are my final two cards.

I resized the make me a topper circle to almost the width of an A4 sheet and used it to make a rocker base.Using a smaller one for the topper, which I printed out twice, I cut a circle from the centre of one to make a frame, covered the other with a circle of spotty paper and then mounted the frame on top with foam pads, The girl sits within the frame.

Kit - Laptop Toodles - Clipart Fairy
Ribbon and pearls - Meiflower

For my final card I made an 'on the edge card'. The image was printed out a couple of times so that I could layer it up. The checked background was printed onto card, punched down one edge and then fixed into place. I finished it off with ribbon, a diamanté buckle some sparkly shapes and gems.

Hope you've enjoyed the last four days of cards, I probably won't be around much this week as Meg is in respite, so hubby's going to take a few days off work and we are going to try and get out a about a bit.

See you soon,
hugs,

Shaper and Topper

This morning I will be up and out very early as my hubby and I are doing our very first car boot sale and we have to be there by 6.30am!!! as it opens at 7.
We  mostly have kids toys and games, as we have been sorting Meg's room out.
People have bought Meg lots of lovely presents over the years, but unfortunately she hasn't been able to use a lot of it, because of her physical limitations. We have boxes that have never been opened, games that have only been opened once to try them, found they were unsuitable and packaged up again, so everything is in immaculate condition.
Not looking forward to the early start, but if nothing else it will be an experience!

Now onto the next two cards, again using the same two kits as the previous two posts.

With the Laptop Toodles kit you get a Make me a Topper kit designed in the hangover style and if you are not sure how to use it check out the Fairy's tutorial HERE .

Laptop Toodles Kit - Clipart Fairy
Lifestyle Die - Nesting Lace Circles
EK success punch
Ribbon, diamanté buckle and sparkly shapes - Meiflower

The Letter to Santa kit contains a Shaper set, and I have used it for the easel card below. I added an extra layer to the shapers as I like the contrast between the colours. To do this - after I had re-sized my shapers to fit my design, I copied the top one and re-sized it to fit between the two normal pieces. After I had printed and cut around it I used it as a template and drew around it with a pencil onto the reverse of a piece of patterned paper from the kit, cut around the pencil lines and I had my contrasting layer. I also had the topper that I had used as a template printed out and ready to use to make another card!

Kit - Letter To Santa - Clipart Fairy
Swirl die- Whimsical Flourish - Memory Box
Organza Ribbon and charm - Meiflower

See you tomorrow for the last two cards, providing I've managed to survive the early start today LOL!

Colette xx

Baubles and Butterflies

Yesterday I told you that I had used two Clipart Fairy kits and made four cards with each kit, well today I have the second card from each kit to show you.

This time around I haven't used the graphics that came with the kit, just the papers.
For the first card, I printed one of the papers onto A4 card and then cut to make an A5 landscape card base.I made a couple of baubles in Photoshop and filled them with papers from the kit. I die cut a large circle to the right hand side of the front of my card. Added the wording panel so that it overhung the circle, and then glittered the baubles, added ribbon to the top and attached them to the panel with a couple of layers of foam tape. I used another paper from the kit on the reverse of the insert, so that it showed through the die cut circle.

Wording - computer generated
Gold Metallic Ribbon - Meiflower

On my second card I used some butterfly digi-stamps and filled them with papers from the kit in Photoshop, (paper piecing, but digitally), and made antennae from black metallic cord. They were shaped and attached to the card with foam tape down the centre.
I punched out some flowers and used sequin blossoms for the centres.

HA Flutterbies - Hero Arts digital stamps - 2P's
Flowers - X cut Punches
Wording - computer generated
Black cord (butterfly antenna's) and sequin blossom (flower centres) - Meiflower

I have also used some new sparkly bits from Mei, they look fabulous in real life, like Pave diamonds, but they are so new they are not on the website yet and I'm not sure what they are called. If I find out I will edit the post.

Back tomorrow,
see you then,
Hugs,
Colette xx

Laptops and Letters

This week I have been playing with two Clipart Fairy kits, one a Christmas Kit and the other a New Job/general kit. I have managed to make four cards with each kit, so I thought that I would do a post each day for the next four days which would include a card from each kit, and here are the first two.

This card was standing on the desk in my craft room whilst I was working on my next one, my hubby came in, looked at the card, and then asked me why I hadn't finished it before moving onto the next one, I asked him what was wrong with it, and he told me it was very plain and needed "something".

I picked the card up and opened it out and said would "something" like this do? Hehe!
I'd made a pop up card and kept the front very simple because everything was going on inside.
He totally wasn't expecting it!

Kit - Laptop Toodles - Clipart Fairy
Martha Stewart border punch
Wording - Computer generated
Gems- Meiflower

My second card was made with the Letter to Santa Kit, I added red glitter around the patterned papers and on the wording, used glamour dust on the snow and Polar white flower soft on the furry parts of the little girls hat and coat.

Two more tomorrow,

Teddy Bo Tuesday

Here we are with another Teddy Bo challenge, this week Team B are hosting the challenge and the theme is
Anything Goes
I have used one of the new releases, coloured her up in Christmas colours and made a Christmas card., (there are only 111 days to go after all LOL!) I thought she looked a bit Victorian so have a bit of a vintage vibe going on.
